Musical studies He completed his musical studies of Flute, Composition and Music Teaching at the Conservatoires "G. Rossini" in Pesaro and "G.Verdi" in Milan with Albino Mattei, Carlo Tabarelli, Irlando Danieli and Carlo Delfrati. He attended international courses of specialisation for orchestra with Gabriele Gallotta, of Chamber Music with Jan Machat and Robert Stallman and flute courses with Conrad Klemm, Severino Gazzelloni, Alain Marjon, Maxence Larrieu and Peter-Lukas Graf, with whom he successfully obtained a diploma at the Superior International Academy of Music "L.Perosi" in Biella. Concert, Chamber and Orchestra Activity Since 1985, he has an intense concert activity both as soloist and in many Italian and foreign chamber groups, with a great success among the public and critics. He took part in many reviews and concert seasons among which: in Milan for the "Società dei Concerti", "Gioco delle Arti" at the Triennale Palace, "Musica in Metrò", "Tram Musicali", "Musica e Poesia" at Gnomo Theatre, "Musica per il Malato" at S. Raffaele, Cardiologico and Pio X hospitals, as a soloist with the orchestra. He played with the "Weber" Trio for the seasons at the "Chiostro", Filodrammatici Theatre, Church of "S. Andrea" in Melzo, "Gipico" in Arese, Petruzzelli Theatre in Bari and Ridotto of Cagnoni Theatre in Vigevano. He collaborated with many chamber groups, among which "Pro Musica Antiqua" and "Milano Musica Moderna". He has also been first flute player with the Symphony Orchestras of Parma Regio Theatre, Modigliani of Livorno, the European Philharmonic Orchestra, the String Concert Academy and the RAI of Milan, conducted by important directors. In 1990, he recorded as first flute player the Fourth Symphony of Ciaikovski for the film "Le magnifiche sei", recorded by RAI 1, in collaboration with the Sinfoniceskij Orkestr - Moscovskj U.R.S.S., Carnegie-Mellon University Symphony Orchestra - Pittsburg U.S.A. and the Symphony Orchestra of the Milan Conservatoire, conducted by Mr Vladimir Delman. In 1997, he also played as a soloist with the strings of the Milan Symphony Orchestra "Verdi", playing J.S.Bach's Suite in B Minor. Since 1994, he has been invited to have concert tours on "Costa Crociere" and "Grimaldi" ships, all over Mediterrean Sea, Spain, Portugal, the Far East, Brazil. He works as a musician in private structures and tourist resorts. In 1998, 1999, 2000 he has been invited to play at the BIT of Tourism in Milan and Parma. He drew inspiration from his last experiences and recorded his CD "Silence is Music" and "Ocean and Music". Competitions and prizes He was named as finalist: in 1986, for the SIM HI-FI in Milan and for the "A. Toscanini" Orchestra in Parma, in 1988 for the European Community Youth Orchestra, in 1989 for the two orchestras "Giovanile Italiana" and "Jeunes de la Méditerranée", in 1997 for the Scala Orchestra. In 1989 he got a scholarship at the School of High Musical Specialisation in Saluzzo; in 1990 he won the first prize at the International Competition "A. Maddalena" in San Giuliano Milanese; in 1999 he was awarded the First Absolute for the Competition of Instrumental Duo at the Music International Festival in Fivizzano. During the 2000 summer season, he won the prize as the "Artist One". In April 2001 he was invited to take part in the jury at the Fifth International Festival of Guitar and Flute in Elk, Poland (Elckie Stowarzyszenie Kulturalne) and from 2003 at International Festival of Music and Dance in Fivizzano (Italy). Teaching Activity Since 1986, he works as a teacher in state, communal and private schools. Nowadays, he is responsible for the flute teaching in the schools with a musical orientation in Milan. Among his students, there are some of the winners of first and second prizes at national competitions. |
